- DesDiv 202 out chasing the USS Piper (SS409)
January 30, 1950
- More bubbleheads to chase, this time USS Sea Leopard (SS483)
February 6, 1950
- Time to go out and chase the Sea Leopard some more
February 20, 1950
- Into Portsmouth for a little upkeep
March 8, 1950
- War games with the USS Missouri (BB63) and support landings on Vieques
March 15, 1950
- Stop at GITMO with the Dutch Royal Navy
April 12, 1950
- Oh well, lets go see if we can find the Sea Leopard this time
April 19, 1950
- More bubbleheads to chase but this time its USS Tigrone
April 26, 1950
- Now its time to play with the brown shoes on the USS Philippine Sea
May 9, 1950
- Here comes that darn Sea Leopard again, we gotta sink that sewer pipe
June 1, 1950
- Enter Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for overhaul
July 12, 1950
- Into the drydock and sit on keel blocks for a while
July 29, 1950
- Out of the drydock after fixing a leak in the starboard shaft alley
September 20, 1950
- Finally out of the shipyard and headed home to the C&E Piers
September 28, 1950
- Out with the Division again so we don't get rusty
October 5, 1950
- A quick run into the drydock in Portsmouth to check everything out
October 9, 1950
- And once again we are in the tropical paradise of GITMO

- Saturday off so lets go to Kingston, Jamaica

- A little gunfire practice at Culebra

- Back home to Norfolk for the last time this year

- A very rough crossing and our shipmate DC2 Norman Brisette is lost
November 28, 1950
- We forgot something in Norfolk, so we get some from the USS Pawcatuck
December 4, 1950
- Time for service with the Sixth Fleet at Gibraltar
December 11, 1950
- A few days of OPS out of Augusta Bay, Sicily
December 20, 1950
- Christmas time so we pull into the Old World at Naples
and we spent the rest of the year running on day trips to Rome
