23, 1968 - After the Pueblo Incident we run a secret mission as shotgun
for the USNS Sgt. Joseph E. Muller off Havana Harbor

27, 1968 - The secret is out so we go back home to good old Mayport

13, 1968 - War games with the Marines off Onslow Beach, North Carolina

14, 1968 - The sonar is out and hydraulics are a mess so we sneak into
Mayport unannounced at 10:00 PM!

20, 1968 - We catch up with the Marines and pull into Charlotte Amalie

28, 1968 - Spring break is over and we head for the barn

18, 1968 - A quick run to the Autec Range off the Bahamas

4, 1968 - Back to Mayport from a bit of "Type Training"

21, 1968 - A trip to the Sumner's vacation paradise - GITMO !

28, 1968 - On this night, after an enjoyable evenings libations, we are
called for Emergency Action to search for the USS Scorpion at 0200! By 0300
calmer heads prevail and all go to bed, thank goodness!

31, 1968 - Back home and pack our bags as we will be gone for quite a
while.

8, 1968 - We pull into Charleston Ship Yard for an overhaul as we wore
the old girl out a bit in Vietnam
July
18, 1968 - Into the dry dock for a bit of cleaning and sandblasting, the
real fun was to stay aboard during all this
August
10, 1968 - Out of the dry dock and back alongside the pier for more WORK
September
21, 1968 - Captain Beaman leaves us for command of the USS Anchorage and
Captain Meacham takes over

7, 1968 - We finally make it back to Mayport but you know what is coming
next!

22, 1968 - Stop in at Key West for a bit of Navy Special and I bet you

25, 1968 - You guessed it - REFRESHER TRAINING or how to sweat while you

25, 1968 - You should get a medal for this - Christmas and GITMO Harbor
