• January 1, 1969 - The traditional mid-watch verse by LT Richard L. Burke
• January 11, 1969 - A favorite spot for Liberty - St. Thomas - but the whaleboat would only run in reverse so we don't go ashore!
• January 13, 1969 - A quick stop in San Juan and then head home
• February 22, 1969 - A fun day had by all - the Dependent's Cruise
• February 26, 1969 - A typical day of OPS in the Jacksonville Operating Area
• February 27, 1969 - The DASH decides to become a seagoing vessel but it doesn't work!
• March 4, 1969 - Back home and start planning for our next deployment
• April 1, 1969 - Underway for the Med and our summer vacation
• April 16, 1969 - Our first port on the Tagus River - Lisbon
• April 26, 1969 - Heading back to the Atlantic and a stop at Rota, Spain
• May 14, 1969 - Stop in Jolly Olde England to see the Queen
• May 17, 1969 - After the NATO review it's off to The Netherlands and a Brewery Tour!
• June 2, 1969 - Another quick stop at Rota on our way back to the Med
• June 21, 1969 - Naples and the All Day Rome tours!
• June 30, 1969 - Time to trade the Whaleboat for a Gondola as we enter Venice
• July 10, 1969 - A pilot is down off of the Kennedy as we go to their aid
• July 18, 1969 - Another stop in Rota to get Fireman Neubarth to the hospital
• July 25, 1969 - We go looking for the Black Hand in Catania, Sicily
• July 31, 1969 - Off the beaten track we stop at Sousse, Tunisia
• August 9, 1969 - One of our old stomping grounds - Sardinia
• August 10, 1969 - Anchor practice in Golfo Di Teulada
• August 14, 1969 - The last stronghold of the Crusaders - the island of Malta
• September 22, 1969 - Another old Sumner haunt - Mallorca
• September 28, 1969 - Time to turn over the reins at Pollensa Bay and head home
• October 10, 1969 - Vacation is over and we are back among the Florida Palms
• November 10, 1969 - Time for some OPS with the FDR
• November 12, 1969 - The FDR looses a pilot and all we find is debris
• November 20, 1969 - Back to the barn at Berth D-2-3 Mayport Naval Station
• December 5, 1969 - More birdfarm OPS with the Wasp
• December 10, 1969 - Time for a break, we tie up for the rest of the year and dream of another Med Cruise
