Please forgive me if I forget to mention your name. Thank you
Connie, for all your hard work and details you did to make this reunion turn out
so successful and for keeping me on the right track, and for still speaking to
me!
I especially want to thank Fred Willshaw for keeping me
straight and making sure everything went as planned. Thanks to Karen Haderer and
Mary Moore for handling the registration. Thank you Rita Hart for handling the
auction and Ship's Store. Thanks to Dale Surber, Dave and Lee Robson, Bernie and
Vicki Armstrong, Jim and Elaine Armstrong, Jan Taylor, Ron and Ricki Jovanovich,
and Scotty and Linda Kopfstein for keeping the Hospitality Room running
smoothly. I especially want to thank Pete and Gail Dromms. For the second year
in a row, they went out of their way to go to Senior Chief Joe Gall's home and
pick up essentials for the reunion and then go back out of their way to return
them to the Senior Chief for next year. They were always there to help when
there was a need for anything to be done.
Thanks to the winners of the 50-50 drawings for donating
their winnings back to the Shipmate Assistance Fund. We couldn't have done it
without you.
Thanks to everyone who participated in the live and silent
auctions.
Thank you Don Hayden for all your skilled photography work
that you do for the Association each year.
Thanks to all the ladies who read the names of our fallen
shipmates at the Memorial Service and Jim Frederickson's ringing the bell.
Last but not least a special thanks to our wonderful
speakers, Astronaut Marion Runco; Johnson Space Center Speakers Program Manager,
Dr. Glenda Johnson; Director of the USS Texas Memorial Park, Bruce Bramlett; and
"Brown Water Sailor", Salvatore "Buddy" Farina. Also, the great musical talent
of Darion Farina.
Once again I just want to thank each and every one of you. If
I have neglected to recognize anyone, please forgive me. You ALL did a great
job!
